Look Fab in Apres Ski Gear

The apres-ski scene refers to the social activities and the nightlife that occur at your ski resort, and includes pretty much everything you do when you aren’t out skiing on the slopes. While how you look ‘après ski’ is not always the most important, socializing while still in your ski gear is hardly ideal either.

However, many aspects of your ski gear and clothing can still be functional while skiing, and have a dual purpose as a stylish ski resort outfit when you are all set to socialize on the apres ski scene. Some of the things included in your regular ski gear that still work quite well for the après scene are a quality ski sweater or fleece jacket and a ski hat – all continue to provide warmth and protection even when you are off the slopes.

Manufacturers of women’s ski gear are now taking into account the après ski factor and there are a number of online retailers that feature a wide variety of functional and fashionabel après ski wear.

Owning a well-cut ski jacket that fits well is not only invaluable to your control while on the slopes, but is wearable in most après ski situations. However, if your ski jacket is highly padded or bulky , you might prefer to wear a down vest over a ski sweater. While heavily padded ski pants are way too bulky for the après ski scene, modern ski pants offer the same amount of protection and support in a less cumbersome design, and can be a perfect match for your vest, sweater, ski hat, and favorite scarf in an informal après gathering.

While après ski boots come in a huge range of styles, from simple, serviceable and comfortable boots, to outrageous furry and colorful concoctions.  Sometimes people opt for a quality pair of waterproof hiking boots as their off-ski footwear.

Apres ski boots, while not suitable for use on the slopes, still help ward off cold and moisture, and make all treks through the snow a lot more manageable.Colorful gloves, fleece hats and neck warmers are all great additions to your apres ski wardrobe.

The après scene is where skiers and regroup in family or friendship after a long day’s skiing, so it is understandable that you will want to look great in warm, cosy and comfortable après ski gear, whether sitting around a log fire, or walking from lodge to lodge.
